Covid-19 inspection system
The challenge:
This medical equipment customer in Taiwan gave us an emergency call last month in May 2021, just as cases of COVID-19 were escalating in Taiwan.
The mission:
Assist the customer in building a production-ready COVID specimen inspection system with *7 axes of motion control.
The deadline:
Within 1 month's time.
Critical success factors for this application:

Critical success factors for this application:
- Customer needed to use LabVIEW for developing this inspection system to take advantage of its fast prototyping benefits.
- Customer had NO TIME to qualify and validate another motion control solution for LabVIEW. They couldn't afford any setbacks if another motion product did not work. They needed a motion control solution that works with LabVIEW OOB (out-of-the-box.)
- After prototyping on PC, customer also needed a LabVIEW Real-Time target to deploy their application. Medical applications are critical, and they are not taking chances of system failure with general purpose PCs. Therefore, they selected our TENET GECO UNO system for standalone motion control based on NI Single-board RIO for maximum stability.
